The most popular question I get asked is, “Sunny, what do you use to dye your hair?” especially on Instagram… even after posting a pic of a burrito, haha. The short answer: Manic Panic’s Hot Hot Pink but lately I’ve been experimenting with Punky Colour’s Flamingo Pink and Overtone’s Extreme Pink Deep Treatment (definite refresh necessity). While that’s what I personally use, I wanna let you know there are several other options for cruelty-free colorful hair dyes to choose from, and they’re all delicious! My faves are below!

Wow, this has been such an amazing week of exciting news! Just caught wind via VegNews that Canada-based cruelty-free and vegan beauty brand Cake Beauty will be launching at Rite Aid (←they have ~40,000 locations!)!If you’re not familiar with Cake Beauty yet, you’re gonna FLIP OUT when you get your paws on some of their goodies. They make incredible and affordable bath, body, and hair products, and as their name implies, all of their items smell delicious AF. I’m so grateful to live in a time where cruelty-free makeup brushes are evvverywhere!! Seriously, how amazing is that!? While they’re not all created equally, I’m stoked to have several brands that are forever-baes. One such brand is M.O.T.D. Cosmetics.
Their vegan and PETA certified brushes are ridiculously soft, make blending a breeze, and they feature usage instructions stamped on the handle. PRAISE!! Um… can all makeup brushes in the world pretty please follow suit? Also, and I know this is a shallow aspect BUT I still care about this – their packaging is on point. Their rose gold-tipped handles are so yummy!
